3D MOVIE ON HOME TV IS IT THE SAME AS TRUE DIGITAL IN CINEMAS?

I saw my bloody valentine in a 3d cinema and was really impressed with the effect, so much better than what i saw in the past, i noticed in the manual that came with my samsung lcd tv that it supports 3d,

so my question is the dvd on sale in my local video store says 3d on the box but is it the same as the 3d i saw in the cinema a few months ago, and is it possible to to have the same effect on your telly at home

thanks3D MOVIE ON HOME TV IS IT THE SAME AS TRUE DIGITAL IN CINEMAS?
Most people don't have a 3d television and the shutter glasses that go with it that you have to plug in, shutter glasses require electricity to work. Plus you usally need a convertor box also. I had the old field sequencial 3d convertor box back several years ago that work with the old tube television. I worked really well but content for it was very limited and still is. So anyway since most people don't have the equitment to use shutter glasses it is probably just the blue and red or blue and yellow 3d format because all you need to use it is a color television.

Polarized 3d that they use in the cinemas can not be done with regular televisions or monitors, they are made to only send out one light wave. Polarized 3d must send out two different light waves, one for the left eye and one for the right. So they must resort to the red and blue format for television because that is the only format that will work on all televisions, unless your television is black and white.3D MOVIE ON HOME TV IS IT THE SAME AS TRUE DIGITAL IN CINEMAS?
No, the 3D for your TV requires a separate 3D decoder box. The movie can be encoded in 3D but it is not the same thing.

The 3D box will allow everything connected to the TV to appear 3D. You have to wear a special set of goggles and the viewing angles are significantly cut down. The goggles also cost about $200.00 a piece. I saw this technology demoed and wasn't impressed, I took my goggles off and got a massive headache.

Is It True That The New Film Avatar Is The First 3D Film Where You Don't Have To Wear Glasses?

3d movies at the theater have to be seen with glasses. There are some televisions being made that can show 3d movies without glasses, but that is the only instance that I know of. Just google wowvx for imformation on 3d televisions without glasses. Is It True That The New Film Avatar Is The First 3D Film Where You Don't Have To Wear Glasses?
No it's not true. I was lucky enough to see the 15 minute preview trailer at the cinema tonight and it looks amazing. You do need the 3D specs to see it properly though! Is It True That The New Film Avatar Is The First 3D Film Where You Don't Have To Wear Glasses?
No it isn't true and that is how you make any 3d film. You still have to wear the glasses. Also quit writing with every word first letter uppercase, it hurts my and other people's eyes
Dont know but that would be cool.
How is that possible?

Is it true the new zelda game will be in 3D?? (Wii)?

That would actually be amazin =D

The game isnt out til the end of the yearIs it true the new zelda game will be in 3D?? (Wii)?
that would be kind of annoying to have to put on 3D glasses each time you want to playIs it true the new zelda game will be in 3D?? (Wii)?
Not to mention give you headaches. Unless you have an Imax theater in your living room. Lucky...
Unlikely. 3D is mostly untouched territory for games, with VERY few TVs in the US even supporting the feature (We're talking stereoscopic 3d, not the red/blue crap). While it is the inevitable future, it's one that's still a bit far off from being mainstream.

Plus, the Wii's meager processing power means that it may not even be able to process a proper 3D image.

If 2 vectors, v and w in 3D have the same length, then v-w and v+w will always be orthogonal...is this true?

If vectors are orthogonal then their dot product will be 0.

(v - w).(v + w) = v.v - w.w = |v|*2 - |w|^2 = 0 since w and v have the same magnitude (I used |v| as the magnitude of v and so on)

So yes what you say is true (unless of course v = w)
  • Cats
  • Is that true that dog can only see 3D and not 2D i.e. picture or TV?

My dogs try to play with the doggy in the mirror..wouldn't that be the same as a picture on TV? They most definitely see themselves in the mirror..

My friend had a Boston terrier that had a favorite video..It was a animal dancing video, and the dog mimicked most of the actions..

this article tells what and why different breeds see differently..It shows that short nosed breeds see TV quite well, but long nosed breeds see things further away, and to the side better..%26gt; http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/stories/s鈥?/a>

So, other than all of them not seeing the color red well, they all see differently..Some can watch TV, and some can not see it as well..Is that true that dog can only see 3D and not 2D i.e. picture or TV?
    LMAO!!!

    NO,it's NOT true!!

What doofy ';granny'; have YOU been listening to??? STOP IT!! LOL!Is that true that dog can only see 3D and not 2D i.e. picture or TV?
I had a Scottie who would come running to the TV if she saw a cat. It didn't even have to be a real cat -- just a cartoonish one in an ad. And the volume didn't have to be on, either, so it wasn't the meowing that attracted her. I don't know if it's normal, but Holly certainly gave every indication of recognizing a two dimensional cat (which she loathed, BTW.)

Several of my dogs also were fascinated with their reflection in a large framed mirror. They used to run around behind it, looking for the ';puppy'; they could see but not smell. The look on their little faces was priceless when there was no dog back there.
i don't think it is true, my 8 yr old rottie has been watchin tv every since she was a puppy, she barks at every animal she sees on tv. it doesn't matter if it is a fish, snake, bird, cat or dog, if she sees it she will bark at it, and it is only animals she barks at
It seems to be. Dogs will sometimes react to barking on TV, but never watch it. The recognize smells but not pictures. In rare cases I have seen a dog react to its reflection in a mirror, but mostly only during puppyhood.
Like myself--I am sure that many other dog owners would like to think that their dogs watch tv with them, but it is true --they can not see whats on the tv. , however, my dogs act like they are watching the tube but its only because of the noises and shadows of lights.
    no

at least i dont thik so

i,ve seen doggs react to some1 throwing a stik on tv

its pretty funny to watch them look 4 the stik afterwards
Dogs vision tends to be more sensitive to movement and flickering. Therefore rather than seeing the images on the TV screen and responding to them they are responding to the movement on the screen and the flickering of the images.
    I didn't know that fact.
Well I dont know,,,,,,,,, seems like my dog spends a lot of time looking at a screen

    see pic ;)

    NO.

In the two towers i am sure there is a part where you have to wear 3d glasses, is this true?

    No.

I saw the film, and there was no portion where it split into red/blue colour splitting. Since that is the only way to project 3D without dual cinema projectors and polarizing filters and special glasses, the answer is clearly no.In the two towers i am sure there is a part where you have to wear 3d glasses, is this true?
I seen it in the pictures a few times and it was on the TV a couple nights back. There is NO point in the film where you require 3D glasses, what bit is it you think you need them for??In the two towers i am sure there is a part where you have to wear 3d glasses, is this true?
I've seen it a few times and been there i have never noticed
